"Learn from your home" ... an initiative to provide tablets for needy students
In a step to revive the spirit of solidarity, cooperation and community partnership, Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Governor of Riyadh, launched an initiative to provide tablets to needy students, so that they can continue their education from a distance, under the slogan "Learn from your home."
The initiative, which was launched yesterday in the presence of Hamad Al-Wahaibi, Director General of Education in the Riyadh region, a number of education directors in the region, and the representative of the Takaful Charitable Foundation, aims to help students in need to obtain tablets to help them perform the academic requirements, and support the distance education process. To achieve "the Kingdom's vision" in this, in addition to community partnerships with a number of businessmen, charitable institutions, and companies in the region.
According to the supervisors of the initiative, it has secured 17,439 devices in cooperation with the Takaful Charitable Foundation out of 55,327 devices, bringing the remaining number to 37,888 devices.
In addition, the Riyadh Education Department stressed the importance of monitoring the attendance and absence of male and female students through the Noor system in all public and private schools.

Al-Wahaibi said, “The daily monitoring and confirmation of absence through the Noor system by school leaders is important, based on the fact that attendance is registered on the Madrasati platform or through visits to students to receive and deliver school assignments and the application of discipline procedures contained in the code of conduct and attendance. Modernizing the Noor system in line with the current state of the distance study system.
